Windows Media Player 10 for Windows XP allows you to play, view and organize all of your music, videos and pictures. A great feature is that it integrates compatible music stores and movie-download services, including the new MSN Music Service. Even though it features many enhancements like the ability to rip songs to MP3 (no more plug-ins), as well as manage and display photos, it still lacks some key functions such as the ability to transfer music to an iPod, listen to music downloaded from the iTunes store and share music easily between computers. Its new interface is more pleasant to the eye and now, you can see the lists in the Library window and burn or copy from there, which is much more intuitive. Windows Media Player10 is not a fully-featured photo editor or manager, but it does let you organize and rate photos they way you do with songs. Moreover, some of the function tabs also have updated names such as Rip, Burn, and Sync. Windows Media Player is a must-have for those who like to get their content from several different online services but don't like to clutter their hard drives with the proprietary jukeboxes required to buy or listen to tracks.
